SPOTV EXPANDS PREMIUM LIVE SPORT LINEUP WITH INTERNATIONAL HORSE RACING

Tuesday, 14th April 2026 - SPOTV has secured rights to HBA Media’s package of international horse racing, further strengthening its premium live sport offering across Asia with one of the most prestigious annual calendars in the sport.

Under the agreement, SPOTV will bring the series to fans across Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Mongolia, and Taiwan on its pay-TV channels and SPOTV NOW through the end of 2027.

The extensive package features 20 of the world’s leading races across the calendar year, giving audiences access to some of the sport’s most iconic events and destinations. The package includes globally recognised races such as The Saudi Cup, Dubai World Cup, Grand National, Royal Ascot, Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes, Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, Breeders’ Cup Classic, Melbourne Cup and Hong Kong Cup.

The acquisition marks another important addition to SPOTV’s growing multi-sport portfolio and reflects the broadcaster’s continued investment in world-class live content for fans across the region. With coverage across both linear and digital platforms, SPOTV will offer horse racing audiences greater access to elite international competition throughout the year.

The series has grown into a premium international racing property, packaging 20 top-tier races through a media rights collaboration led by HBA Media and offering fans, broadcasters and sponsors year-round access to world-class thoroughbred racing. The Saudi Cup, in particular, has rapidly established itself as one of the standout events on the global calendar through its partnership with HBA.

Charlotte Burr, CEO International Business of SPOTV, said: “We are delighted to bring this elite international racing series to SPOTV’s audiences across Asia. This is a premium collection of some of the most prestigious races in the sport, and it reflects our continued focus on acquiring world-class live content that resonates with fans across the region. With year-round coverage across our linear channels and SPOTV NOW, we are excited to give audiences greater access to the drama, heritage, and global appeal of top-level horse racing.”

Frank Sale, CEO of HBA Media, added: “HBA Media is thrilled to welcome SPOTV as a first-time broadcaster of our premium international racing series. Southeast Asia has, and always will be, a valued market and we are delighted to be showcasing the best of the sport to an avid and engaged audience through this partnership, one that we hope to endure for many years to

come.”
