As a live sport, horse racing offers thrills that few other sports can replicate. A day at the races has something for people of all ages and backgrounds. However, a challenge for broadcasters is to provide continuous value and entertainment in a sport with only a few minutes of live racing action throughout five to seven hours of feed coverage.

CJR90 is action led, with a scene setter and an opening race - all building up to the final 30-minutes dedicated to the main race.
