The introduction of the Bahrain International Trophy in 2019 began a new chapter in the history of horse racing in the Kingdom of Bahrain, demonstrating the country’s determination to establish itself as a premier horse racing destination and welcome the sport’s leading competitors.
A Group 2 contest on turf over a mile-and-a-quarter, the Bahrain International Trophy is the pinnacle of the country’s sporting calendar. As such, the 2023 edition was distributed to 22 broadcasters in over 100 territories, a record total for the event.
