HBA Media and Hong Kong Jockey Club Extend Partnership to Deliver Enhanced Global Coverage of Hong Kong’s Premier Races
Thursday, 11th September 2025 – HBA Media is proud to announce the extension of its media rights and representation agreement with the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) through to 2028, further strengthening a strategic partnership that will continue to elevate the international profile of Hong Kong’s world-class racing.
As part of the renewed three-year agreement (2026–2028), HBA Media will continue to distribute FWD Champions Day and the iconic Longines Hong Kong International Races (HKIR) in December, featuring the Hong Kong Sprint, Mile, Cup, and Vase.
For the first time, FWD Champions Day will be included in HBA’s Crown Jewels Racing series – uniting 20 premium races under one cohesive global broadcast package. For both marquee racedays, HBA Media will executive-produce dedicated CJR90 programmes, which are crucial for guaranteeing linear airtime on mainstream networks.
Frank Sale, Chief Executive of HBA Media, said:
"We are thrilled to extend our collaboration with the Hong Kong Jockey Club and to continue delivering world-class coverage of their principal races. Over the previous term, HBA grew the HKJC’s presence on major sports networks to 20 broadcasters across the partnership and this new deal will ensure that Hong Kong Racing remains front and centre on the international stage."
Sam Nati, Head of Commingling of the Hong Kong Jockey Club,
added:
"Our extended partnership with HBA Media will further amplify the reach and impact of our top-tier racedays. We look forward to continuing to grow the international appeal of both the Longines Hong Kong International Races and FWD Champions Day through the Crown Jewels Racing series, in which the seven Group 1s have been part of the IFHA Top 100 race in the last three years. This exposure is an ideal vehicle to promote our World Pool races not just as a wagering brand but a key racing brand."
This renewed agreement marks a significant step in enhancing the global visibility and production value of Hong Kong’s leading racing fixtures.
